APRS Setup

Currently I have two radios working on APRS: my GD-88 and my QRZ-1. I use APRSDroid on ANdroid, and Direwolf on a Raspberry Pi. Everything is in flux right now, as I'm still figuring out how I want to utilize APRS.

I'd like to utilize my FT-70DR for APRS, and have been looking for a way to do that ever since I got it. Unfortunately, short of purchasing a hardware TNC (which I do have plans to do eventually) or wiring up your own wire, there's basically no good way to get it on the airwaves chirping out packets.

GD-88

The GD-88 is actually primarily a DMR radio that happens to have APRS built-in, though I have yet to get that working. So far, I can only transmit APRS with this radio. Whenever the BTECH APRS cable is plugged in, no matter what I do, I cannot seem to get it to send incoming audio to a TNC, but it will transmit APRS audio just fine.

QRZ-1

The QRZ-1 is my current workhorse when it comes to APRS. While I have to trigger it with VOX, it still fulfills most of my use-cases, which mainly revolve around getting my TNC software configured. All this needs is the BTECH APRS cable and it's off to the races.
